Expedition Staff

For over twenty years, Richard Butler has assisted or led expeditions on all seven continents and traveled to more than 110 countries. His longstanding interest in people, cultures and societies of the world was first sparked while he studied politics at the University of Southampton in England. We asked Richard to share with us what he has learned from traveling in both a video and a question-and-answer session.

Susan left the corporate world to pursue her passion for travel and has lived in India, Italy and the Alaskan bush. She has been an expedition leader on numerous private jet trips. Like many of our expedition leaders, Susan has a joy for exploration that is tough to replicate. Here she tells us about her favorite spots around the world as well as her love for food and the sound of languages.

Eszter Foldvary has led expeditions by train, cruise ship and jet. She led her first private jet expedition for TCS in 1995. Since then, she has served on over 85 jet trips and visited at least 130 countries. Fluent in four languages, Eszter especially enjoys introducing travelers to the art and culture of the regions we visit. Here she shares her favorite travel moments and advice with us in a video and question-and-answer session.

Johanne Gordon saw the ocean for the first time when she was 12 years old. Little did she know that she would end up working on cruise ships, eventually crossing all the world’s oceans. A Montreal native, she has been working with TCS World Travel since 2011 and has been in the travel industry since 1992, acquiring experience in both cruises and private jet tours. Her travels have taken her to more than 125 countries on all seven continents.

An avid outdoor enthusiast, Jill has been an international travel director for the past 20 years, working as part of the expedition team at TCS World Travel and scouting new destinations for upcoming trips. She has been to over 100 countries. Her goal as an expedition leader is to give you the best adventure you can have.

Originally from Costa Rica, Gabriel developed his passion for travel at a young age. He first began working on TCS trips in 2015 and has served as a staff member on dozens of expeditions.

Andrea discovered her passion for travel as a teenager when she toured in Asia as a member of a classical music ensemble. She obtained a master’s degree in social and cultural anthropology in her hometown of Prague, and has been working in luxury tourism for over 15 years. Her previous work involved organizing events for prestigious agencies across Europe. She joined TCS in 2016 and has been on the road with us ever since. Barcelona was her home for over 12 years, but now she resides in the Canary Islands, closer to her beloved Morocco.
